Classical ballet is historically recognized as an elite art form, often restricted to theaters and studios frequented by those with greater financial means. Our ballet project at SER Alzira de Aleluia was born precisely to subvert this logic and break this invisible barrier. Bringing ballet shoes, tutus, and classical technique into Vidigal is an act of deep empowerment and the democratization of culture. Here, we prove that grace and talent have no social class or address. We transform our space into a stage where children from the favela have the opportunity to experience the magic and discipline of dance, accessing a universe that was previously denied to them and discovering that they can, indeed, belong anywhere.

Project Objectives
Democratize Access to Art: Ensure that a historically elitist dance form is accessible to the children of our community, offering opportunities for excellence previously restricted to spaces of greater economic privilege.
Empower Through Belonging: Strengthen the self-esteem, posture, and self-confidence of our students, showing them from an early age that they have the right to occupy all spaces and shine on any stage of life.
Develop Discipline and Expression: Work on the focus, motor coordination, artistic sensitivity, and body awareness that ballet demands, contributing to a complete and healthy physical and emotional development.
Create New Perspectives for the Future: Open doors to the world of performing arts, allowing our young people to dream big and, if they wish, find a profession in dance, breaking with the statistics of exclusion.
